EGGLESS VANILLA CHOCOLATE BISCUITS

Hi Friends,
Today we would make Vanilla-Chocolate biscuits. They are not only great in taste but looks very pretty as well.

Serves : makes around 15-20 pieces
Baking time : 15-20 mins

INGREDIENTS:
  • Refined all purpose flour - 140gm
  • Powder sugar - 100gm
  • Butter  -- 50gm
  • Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence -- 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder -- 1/2 tsp
  • Milk  - 1 tbsp ( as required )

Note :
Preheat oven at 170c for 10 minutes before putting cookies in it.
I took salted butter as couldn't find unsalted one. You can use unsalted butter too.
Butter should be room temperature when using in mix.
For preheating switch on both rods.
The dough should be soft, else it will not take the correct shape.
Ovens are of different type, so they may provide heat at different rate. So please keep and eye on cookies while they are baking.

 Method to make dough:
  • Blend  butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Blend it until it becomes white and creamy. Once it becomes creamy add vanilla essence into it. Mix vanilla essence, our wet ingredient mix is ready, keep it aside.
  • Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Now mix the dry ingredient in the wet ingredient. Add it in small quantity and mix it well. Don't over blend it. Make a dough of this.

  • Repeat above process again this time add cocoa powder with all purpose flour too. Make dough from this...this is our chocolate part.
  • Make a slab from each dough.Put these slabs side by side and stick them together by pressing a bit. Now Put a hand on one end holding it, roll the other end slightly. This will give a little bend to the mixed dough.
  • Wrap the dough in cling wrap and put in fridge for half an hour.

  • Take out the dough and unwrap it. Cut across of around 1 cm width.
  • Grease the tray and put these on the tray.

  • Bake it for around 15 mins. Keep an eye on it, as soon as white part of biscuits turns a little brown take them out.
  • Your yummy vanilla-chocolate biscuits are ready to be enjoyed.
