HEALTHY POHA KEBAB


Hi Friends, today we are going to make healthy poha kebabs. It is made with very less oil and provides a new twist and tasty way to eat poha.

Try it with kids.....i hope they would love it. You add more vegetables in it as per your like.




INGREDIENTS:

  • Poha - 1 cup
  • Carrot - 2 (grated )
  • Boiled green  pea - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potato- 2 ( mashed )
  • Green chili copped - 1 or 2
  • Coriander leaves -  1 tbsp (chopped )
  • Roasted peanuts - 1/2 cup ( crushed )
  • Red chili powder - as per taste
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - for greasing




METHOD:

  • In a sieve place the beaten rice (poha ) and wash for a few second . keep it aside.
  • Keep some poha aside, we will use it for coating later.
  • In mixing bowl add all the ingredient and mix well. Don't mix hard else the material will become mushy. Leave a bit of crunchiness in it.

  • Divided the mixture into equal parts and make round balls  (or any shape you want ). Press it a bit with your palm to flatten it. ( to make it like a tikki)
  • Now coat these tikkis with poha, this will make kebab more crispy on outside.
  • Heat a non stick tava , grease it with little oil and cook till they are brown in colour from both sides.

  • Poha kebab is ready to serve.
  • Serve with green chutney or sauce.
